Fake Permissions

Enable moderator in a server to use needed permissions commands without giving native discord permissions.

Note:

Fake permissions only work through the bot. Only the Server Owner can use this command.

Why fakepermissions ?

Fake permissions negate the possibility of a rogue moderator using a script which floods the Discord API and mass bans all members, or any other harmful action. It’s a security measure which ensures that your server can’t be nuked whatsoever.

How does it work ?

When a moderator is given fake permissions, such as ban_members, they will be able to use the ban command with gato, but they won’t be able to use the native Discord ban feature.

Fakepermissions system isn't the only system for permissions handled by gato. You can also manage unique permissions on the bot as trusted owner and staff nuke. Syntax is exactly the same as fakepermissions.

Note:

Trusted Owner and Staff nuke are very important and should not be given to anyone untrusted. Trusted Owner has access to owner permissions for the bot. On the other hand staff nuke give access to the antinuke feature of gato.
